Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer famous for his distinctive mix of gospel-soul jazz R&B and R&B. She's performed all over from Broadway up to The Democratic National Convention to the European party and concert scenes. Sunshine's real her name as Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta however, she comes from Chester Pennsylvania where she began her music career by singing and playing the piano in churches. Following her graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she began her musical journey on the Atlanta's R&B culture. First track featuring her voice was called Stalk You, a Japanese house 12 song. Since then, it has been remixed, and it is now included in her set. Her voice was also added to the soundtrack of The Fighting Temptations. In 2005, she became the pianist in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy- as well as Tony Award winning vocalist who performed on stage in the production Dreamgirls at the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, she was approached by Tyler Perry to be the leader of the choral group for the stage production. Sunshine gained national recognition during four daily performances at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was subsequently invited to sing at Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
