Winona Ryder, professionally Winona Ryder was born on Winona Minnesota. The name of her parents was derived from the town she grew up in. Michel Horowitz is her father, while Cynthia Palmer is her mother. Ryder is Jewish. Ryder believes that her father was from a Jewish origin. The actress is the younger sister of Uria, and has half-siblings Jubal & Sunyata. In the year Ryder was just seven years old, her family relocated from Mendocino County, California. Mendocino County California. They didn't even have electricity. Ryder who loved reading when she was 12 became a book worm because Ryder did not have access to television. At the age of 12 years old, Ryder enrolled in the American Conservatory Theatre to take acting classes. Lucas was released in 1986, and Ryder who was just 15 years old, was offered a role as a leading actress. Ryder endured bullying while in high school. Her acting career, she hoped that it would aid her. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. But she continued to chase her goals. In 1988, she got her breakthrough role in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder was able to continue playing roles that were successful in several movies. She received nominations for two Academy Awards one for her role in The Age of Innocence (1993).
