Aaliyah Dana Haaughton rose to notoriety after she released the album she dubbed Age Ain't Nothing but an Number in 1994. The singer was only 15 at that time, and the album became Gold. This collaboration, heavily influenced R. Kelly's music, brought her into the spotlight. The year 1996 saw her release her second album One In A Million with Jermaine dupri and Timbaland. It contained the number one hit track If Your Girl Only knew. Aaliyah gained notoriety as an R&B singer after the album's release. In 2000, she appeared in the romance and action film Romeo Must Die alongside martial artist Jet-Li. Her role came about after being spotted by producer Joel Silver at an awards show. In 2002, she was able to play the film vampire Queen of the Damned which was an adaptation of the Anne Rice novel. The Matrix Sequels saw her as Zee and appeared on The Matrix Reloaded (2003) and The Matrix Revolutions that same year. The artist has won four Grammy nominations for the year 1999, 2001 and 2002 and 2003. Aarti Mann.....................Aarti Mann also known as Aarti Majumdar is an American actor who is best known for her portrayal of Priya Koothrappali in the popular TV series The Big Bang Theory. Aarti Mann is an Indian American of the first generation who was born in Connecticut. Mann is the abbreviation of her husband's final name Mankad. She uses Aarti Mann as well as Aarti Majumdar for her professional names. While she started out in film and TV with a few minor parts, her acting career started to gain momentum in the mid-2000s. Some of her most notable roles include Grey's Anatomy, Suits and Leverage. The actress has been featured in a variety of commercials including Volvo's international car producer. She currently lives with her family in Los Angeles along with her husband, daughter and pursues her acting career.
